Thunder and Lightning, Very Very Frightning

Not the best way to end our stay in Split when the most interesting part was the lightning and thunder show.  We managed to go for another very nice power walk around the Marjan Peninsula before the weather changed and this massive lightning show started that included thunderous thunder and periodic spurts of heavy rain.  This lasted from early afternoon right through to the following morning when Rita and I were rudley woken up by a massive thunder clap that bolted us out of our sleep and out of bed.  The sunny weather returned around noon when we were getting ready to drop off the car and board the ferry for Hvar.  Split was a historical marvel and we really enjoyed our time here.
